Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education – General Administration for Student Welfare – Department of Scientific Activity

The Institute announces the opening of registration for:

Robotics Competition (Maze Solving)

For institutes affiliated with the Ministry nationwide

Competition Concept:

Design, assemble, and program a self-driving robot capable of solving a maze full of obstacles, moving from the starting point to the finish point fully automatically, avoiding collisions, and achieving the shortest possible time.


Competition Details:

Maze Area: 2 x 2 meters

The robot moves autonomously without manual control.

The robot will be trained over two days, and the competition will take place on the third day.

Each team will have only two attempts.

Entry order will be determined by a draw.

Participation Requirements:

Maximum robot dimensions: 25 x 20 cm

Evaluation Criteria (in order):

Robot successfully reaching the finish line

Time taken to complete the task

Number of times the robot collides with obstacles (points will be deducted for each collision)

Prizes:

The top five winners will be announced and awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes:

First Place: 1000 EGP

Second Place: 900 EGP

Third Place: 800 EGP

Fourth Place: 700 EGP

Fifth Place: 600 EGP

Registration Process:

Students wishing to participate should:

Go to the Student Welfare Department at the institute

Fill out the registration form and submit the required documents Required Documents:

Copy of National ID Card

Copy of Student ID for the current academic year or receipt of fees
